4-H ACTIVITIES The Kremlin 4-H Club has had a very successful year. At the District Timely Speech and Demonstration contest there were 15 red ribbons and 21 blues to go on to enter into county competition, Winners at the County contest that went on to 4-H Round -up at Stillwater were: Dean Fisher and Wilfred Toews with an ICB Cream Dem0HSU'2!i0l'l: and lack Zaloudek with a Handicraft Demonstration. High placings that didn't attend Round -up were Lonnie Ruth with Reserve Champion on his Poultry Demonstration and Patsy Hays with Reserve Champion on her Illustrative Cooperative Timely Speech. Rita Ruth attended Round-up on leadership. There were six girls who entered the County Style Show in April with five out of the six girls getting blue ribbons. Some of the higher winnings were Patsy Hays and Celia Selix both getting Reserve Champion in their classes. In the Boys' Dress Review, Lonnie Ruth was the Champion in Sports Wear, Lonnie Ruth placed first on Livestock Judging in the County and was on the team that placed seventh at Oklahoma City. Lonnie was a delegate to a two-day District Recrea- tion School at Woodward. Dean Fisher, Lonnie Ruth, Wilfred Toews, and Bobby Lorenz entered Dairy Judging. Lonnie and Dean also entered Poultry Judging, and Lonnie placed third on Soil Judging. Celia Selix was a delegate to State 4-H School and State Congress. She entered her record book in Frozen Foods and won first in the state and received a S50 bond, At the County Fair she won 10 blue ribbons and three reds, at the State Fair she placed third on canning, third on barley, fourth on oats, and tenth on her tablecloth, At the Achievement Banquet Sandra Bossart received an award on her record book. Members of the club who had entries in the fair were Jack and Tom Zaloudek, Ronnie McDonald, Dean Fisher, Lonnie Ruth, Jere Johnson, Wilfred Toews, Celia Selix, Sandra Bossart, Linda Reinhart, and Mary Hole. Jack and Tom Zaloudek took their sheep to fairs in Enid, Hutchison, Tulsa, Kansas City, and Coffeyville. They had four champions and won two trophies at Coffeyville, Jack and Tom Zaloudek Robert HHYS
