We, the class of 1981, dedicate our yearbook in memory of Mr. Robert M. Good. In Memory Weep not in tears of sorrow Because I ve gone away But weep with tears of gladness For the peace I have today I know your hearts are heavy With the sorrow that you bear. But God has called me home My place is ready there My stay on earth s completed. My final rest is won. I ve received the richest blessing, To dwell with God's own son1 Anonymous LORD, IT BELONGS NOT TO MV CARE Lord, it belongs not to my care. Whether I die or live, To love and serve Thee is my share. And this Thy grace must give If life be long I will be glad. That I may long obey; If short - yet why should I be sad To soar to endless day? Richard Baxter 1615-1691 (from Masterpieces of Religious Verse. J.D Morrison, ed . Harper Bros. 1948) Achieving Your Special Goals People reaching for goals . . . Everyone has their sights set on something. Some sort of achievement is important to everyone. All the goals may be different and maybe not every- one understands other people’s goals, but the important thing is to reach for the goals that YOU set for YOURSELF. 4 Be Aggressive,” So Keep the Faith, Proud We Are, and Proud We'll Be . All of these are parts of basketball cheers. Inside each one is a message to apply towards our- selves and our goals. Each one gives us cour- age and tells us to set our goals, have faith in ourselves, and to Go For It!” 5 Nothing Worthwhile Is Ever Easy Anyone willing to be corrected is on the pathway to life; anyone refusing has lost his chance. Kind words are like honey—enjoyable and healthful. Love forgets mistakes; nagging about them parts the best of friends. There is one man worse than a fool, and that is a man that is conceited. Proverbs (RSV) 6 We are given memories so that we may have roses in December. Memories are remarkable things. No one can take them away trom us. By using them, we may relive the best times of our lives again and again. With our memories, we can obtain the impossible, such as snowflakes in summer, or roses, growing wild, in December. It's a year that could decide your future, your destiny, and your fate. After graduation, wherever your life leads, you will hold a special place in life. 90 People working with people. These people are all different. They have different goals and things that they are reaching for. They have different standards of living and ideals. But yet, they can all work together and under- stand each other. 92 It's chance that makes brothers but hearts that make friends. Giving, sharing, working, caring. All are used to reach goals. A wise high school senior once said, Set your goals, and then—go for it! If a man does not keep pace with his compan- ions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. Henry David Thoreau The Beat of a Different I P( 1 You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it come true.
