To a person who encouraged us in our class projects and contrib- uted much of his time for the bene- fit of our class. We wish to dedicate this year- book to MR. FLOYD JOHNSON. MR. JOHNSON We, the annual staff of the '62 Kostang, take pride in presenting this yearbook to you. We have worked many hours so that in the coming years you could reminisce all the joys and sorrows of this year by merely sitting down and looking at this book. 2uee t For the first time in Kostang history, the staff has held a yearbook queen contest. Shown below are the candidates from each high school class. Each of these girls recieved votes of pennies and all proceeds went to the Kostang staff and was used to edit the Kostang. At a special dance, the queen was crowned by the editor. A yearbook and a corsage was given to each candidate. Beef, Roger Timm, was an overgrown football player. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melville, Willis Alt and Andrea Schroeder, were more concerned with Beef's grades than with the big game. Everyone from Beef's girlfriend Susie, Debra Rhynard and Jenny Cannon, to Gwendolyn, Carol Chael, the brain of the school, tried to help Beef study for the big history test which he had to pass before he could play in the big game. — The Worm Shall Squirm was presented by the Senior class on October 12th and 13th, under the direction of Mrs. Hershmann. Mr. Dunhagen, Fred Manago, principal of Brookfield,High, was criticized by his students on the way he ran the school. Mr. Dunhagen made his son, Leroy, Paul Martin and Bob Rosen- baum, and his friend Buzzy, Dennis Cannon, principals. The consequences were great and hilarious, but everybody lived happily ever after. Seti i gCa 'PCay We, the Senior class of 1962, would like to dedicate this, the final page of our Kostang, to our basketball team, the Porter County Champions of 1962. The determination and hard work of these boys should remain as an outstanding example for years to come to the students of Kouts High School. ALMA MATER I love the colors black and gold, I love the joys that they uphold. I'm sure the knowledge That I gain Will someday lead me on to fame. I am so proud of K. H. S., She ever will lead all the rest, Always in sports And scholarship too I'll stand by you!
