Jo Miller helps second grade students understand the meaning of Thanksgiving. Students Investigate the Mysteries of Teaching l i at Linda Collins works to complete her proiects . . . She has a feel- ing of satisfaction when her work is finished. 29 Exploratory Teaching was offered to those inter- ested iri learning about the teaching career. This one semester course helped students decide if they had the abilities to be successful teachers and gave them pre-vocational information and experience. One of Joyce Spradlin's iobs is to teach a gym class. There she gains experience in the physical education department.

Dean Craig's Concern ls Student Welfare As Dean ot Boys ot Kokomo High, Mr. Kenneth Craig performed a busy but rewarding service. Most ot his Time and ettorts were devoted To checking at- tendance. l-le wrote excuses tor Tardy students and checked on possible Truancies To decide it The boys should be expelled. Acting as a mediator, Mr. Craig helped settle ditterences between students who had been dismissed from class and Their Teachers. Mr. Craig also performed The duties ot a counselor To boys who had personal or school problems. Whenever a boy needed advice or guidance, Mr. Craig was ready To help at any Time. Mr. Kenneth Craig, Dean of Boy's at K.H.S., serves as one of the mediators between the students and the faculty. Dean Craig often spends his mornings checking attendance. Absentees must report to Dean Craig when they return to school. Mr. Craig joins thousands of fans at one of the basketball games. 28
