Mr. joe Mullins' explanation of the Pythagorean Theorem seems to satisfy his class plme geometry. Provmg Proposilzions Was Harder Dusty erasers and chalk-streaked black boards served as evidence of the long hours of strenous drill used by faculty members to acquaint students with the principles of mathematics. Tfnder the skillful supervision of Mr. Lee Dixon, KHS graduates are grounded in the basic mathematical situations. Descartes Rules and the Pythagorean Theorem are only two of the laws used in advancing the principles of logical reasoning, while the famous Greek philosophers, Archimedes and Thales, become familiar figures as enthusiastic students study plane and solid geometry. Imagine the hundreds of pieces of chalk which were used in present- ing the miles of Figures and illustrations to students who were engrossed in the complexity of trigonometry. Meanwhile, shortened pencils and well- rounded erasers were signs of the many daily lessons and quizes contrived by Mr. Kenneth Crook, Mr. Lloyd Keisling, Mr. Lee Dixon, Mr. Paul Kendall, Mr. Fred Moss, Mr. joe Mullins, and Mr. Donald Bartlett. The importance of mathematics seems ever-increasing since it prepares future graduates for teclmical training in the future and also teaches those majoring in math to think in a logical and sound manner.
