GIRLS' LEAGUE COUNCIL During her first year as Dean of League to enable all girls to work Carnival and honored their mothers A council, voted upon by all the girls Girls Kliss l'earce organized the Girls' together. Page 14 OUR FACULTY On the banks of the Wildcat in 1914 they built our present school building. Since then the original building has been enlargedg Haworth Gymnasium has been built: Kautz Field has been presentedg the central heating plant has been constructedg and the new garage has been built. Yes, changes have taken place, even in the last year. The old houses over on Lafountain Street that the art classes have sketched for so many years have been torn down. The salvaged lumber was used to build the new garage. A cement walk has been laid from the south-east door across the girls' playground to La- fountain Street. My, how many years we waded through the mud on that short cut. Of course. we couldn't have gone down to the old sidewalk and around. Inside our school there are changes too. A switchboard in Mr. Haworth's office keeps the lines of our nineteen telephones straightg the new curtain in the auditorium hangs a little short in spotsg and the electric sign in the front hall flashes new bits of wisdom every week while the largest senior class boosts our enrollment to 1,977 students. The personnel of our school system includes a school nurse, a hearing clinician, il speech correction teacher, and a good looking attendance officer. Hut here,'we started out to introduce you to our 83 teachers. VVe want you to know them as we do. lf you are to know us and our school, you must know our teachers, for it is their personalities that influence our lives today and will' influence our lives tomorrow.
