Kofa High's Band keeps music alive The musical marvels of Kofa High consisted of 97 pieces. Led by a former Kofan, Marshall Olp, the Band spent many long hours practicing. But some ofthe many advantages of being in band are their neato bus trips, getting into games free, and having the best of company. Other fun was at- tending a marching festival in the spring and bringing in a pro- fessional musician. Majorettes: Blackburn, Otondo, Smith, Kohlasch, and Callahan. Ac- quired from Gila Vista, Durham was first string in taking the choir through the year. He added a new dimension to the field of reading music. In addition to reading notes there was also wave- lengths to be read. To join the talented groups, one must first audition. From there one goes on out-of-town trips, night rehearsals, town ac- tivities, and many others.
