Missing -ll This year's Girls' State took place at the University of Arizo- na, in Tucson, while Boys' State was held at Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff. There, the nine students from Kofa lived a mock government for one week. They participated in three different levels of government, including city, state, and county. Each person lived in a city. These cities had approximately thirty- two students each. The dormi- tory halls were decorated to re- semble an actual city, with lines going down the hall to divide the different lanes of traffic. Tickets were given for moving violations such as speeding and reckless driving. There were eight cities, with four cities assigned to a county. Supai, Cocopah, and Poston were a few of the counties. Both groups said that the programs were extremely well-organized, and that they came back with a much greater knowledge of how governments function.
