Owens Kofa Quartet performs at Chandler game. Rain, rain, go away! Del Segno was comprised of members of marching band who had successfully completed the season. This year's activities in- cluded marching in the town's annual parades, as well as spon- soring a poster party for the Kofa-Yuma game, and collecting wood for the bonfire. As usual, the season seemed to end too soon. This year's band indeed a- chieved near perfection. They participated in the state-wide Marching Festival held at A.S.U. The band 'was pleased when they walked away with a Superior rating-a big number one.

Forencians enjoy a sunny day. Star journalists smile for Quill and Scroll shot. Future Nurses making Health a career. The Kofa Forensic Society was the brain child of lVls. Dix- son's fourth period forensics class. Together they wrote the consti- tution of the new club and elec- ted officers. Their main purpose is to raise money to travel to speech contests around the state. This speech team represented Kofa strongly at the Northland Speech Festival by bringing home two superior ratings and one ex- cellent one. The Quill and Scroll chapter at Kofa is only one of the groups belonging to this nationwide so- ciety of high school journalists. The requirements for member- ship included being in the upper majority of the class and to have had experience working on the King's Page. Prospective mem- bers rnust be active in Quill and Scroll for at least half of a year before being accepted into the club. The money making projects included selling spirit cards, which contain catchy slogans having to deal with our opponents. Quill and Scroll also helped school spirit by way of posters parties. Club sponsor is lVlrs. Coke. The Health Careers Club at Kofa High was formed last year out of the Future Nurses of A- merica. The clubs purpose is to further the interests of students in nursing, technology, and so- cial service. Anyone interested in learning the different fields of health careers may join. Money was raised by way of candy sales during the year. Sponsor is Mrs. Saxe.
