Donating money in buying a kidney machine and contributing to the Cancer Foun- dation in the name of ex-Kofan Brian Thom showed the club's community interest. Profits from the stand also went into sponsor- ing a homeless child in Viet Nam. The club's annual breakfast and spring banquet concluded the club's highlights.

Girls League was one of Kofa's most active clubs. The club held their annual big sister-little sister tea to welcome the incoming freshmen girls. Their other plans included selling cokes at all basket- ball games and giving Thanks- giving and Christmas baskets to needy families. Also at Christmas Girls League held a rummage sale. Another function of the club was to sponsor activities and programs for Kofa girls. One program that Girls League sponsored caused much contro- versy. The club brought in speak- ers from Yuma's women's liber- ation organization, and it was weeks before people stopped talk- ing about it.
