Allec. NHS The goals of National Honor Society were to stimulate and preserve the qualities of high scholarship, purposeful leader- ship, and service to the school and community. They held meet- ings every other Friday of each month. NHS sponsored a dance this year and sold refreshments at football games and sold books at the Book Fair for their money making projects. NHS gave two one hundred dollar scholarships to two outstanding members. To become a member of NHS you must have a 2.00 grade average and be active in school activities. T ffffff T l lVl . P ll . . This included vvriting, edit- ing or production on La Corona or King's Page Staff. The main money making pro- ject was selling spirit cards during the week of home games. These cards contained catchy slogans pertaining to the opponents. Quill and Scroll started the year out with a swimming party. Everyone brought food and had a pot-luck luncheon, while en- joying music. lVleetings were conducted two Thursdays a month by President, Laura lVlcDonald. The sponsor of these jou rnalists was lVlrs.
