New varsitg coach builds sportsmen Kofas' basketball players have more desire than most teams. They didn't have their best year, but they never let their spirits fall. Coach lVlcKinley was one of the prime factors for the teams spirit. The team was lead by five seniors. Their two big starters were Mike Platt a Junior, and Senior Rick Crosby. Kofa won two games but deserved to win more. These two wins came at home. Kofa was out- scored by their opponents 1128 to 866 up to the Scottsdale game. Next year Kofas' team will con- sist of six returning seniors which will be Kofas' backbone for 1970- 71. Kofa will also have a few juniors for good support. Hoyt commented that many ofthe outstanding freshmen wrestlers will be in contention for a varsity spot next year. These fine wrestlers worked hard to bet- ter themselves. Some of these out- standing wrestlers were Dan Bul- lard, Howell Gaboury, Luis Agu- lar, Brice Zeller, and Andy Santa Cruz who wrestled with varsity most of the year. A good future lies ahead for these wrestlers who are going to be very good next year.
