Z- Johnston- SPANISH CLUB El Castillo de los Reyes re- quired each student wishing to be in the club to be taking a class in Spanish, speak it or have taken Spanish 3844. The student also must have interest in improving his Spanish and contributing to his school life. The Spanish Club was very ac- tive this year. Other than poster parties, and bake sales, the club sold spirit flag pins and spon- sored a school dance. FRENCH CLUB To become an active member of French Club one must have taken one year of French or have been enrolled in a French class. The members of French Club had weekly poster parties during football s e a s 0 n and monthly poster parties during the remaining year. Doebbler 1 LATIN CLUB As an organization dedicated to the better understanding of the ancient Roman culture, the Latin Club was involved in many activities. Poster parties, bake sales, and car washes filled the activity calender, but the out- standing event of the club pro- gram was the annual Saturnalia. Each year the Latin Club has do- nated money to medical research and this was no exception. I Mr. Cutrules and Mr. Gossmen at the mock evening session of the Roman Senate. All Latin Club members were present. l Jan Schmitt and Larry Salsburg are coaching, while two Roman wrestlers fight it out at the Saturnalia. K oRoANizATioNs119
