Future Farmers of America was an organization composed of both male and female students studying agriculture. Many of the members during their spare time raised livestock to be ex- hibited in the fair. The Kofa chapter was involved in many ac- tivities, a hayride, the annual bar- b-que, and the Sweetheart Ball were a few of their activities. Learning to do, doing to learn, X earning to live, living to serve was ' r the goal of all F.F.A. chapters of Kofa chapter also fr America. F.H.A. . Future Homemakers of America began the year with a Get Acquainted Tea for future members. All freshmen girls en- rolled in home economics were invited. An early breakfast was part of the informal initiation, old members were present to apply missing accessories to the initiate's costumes. F.H.A. spon- t h e homecoming dance with the theme Sign of The Times. The club participated in a Work Day, where members of F.H.A. were paid one dollar an hour for house work for townspeople. ln October, fifteen girls at- tended the distric in Tolleson. Linda Fo elected District Public Flelati ons Chairman. Linda was the first district officer from Kofa.
