Potluck supper in the eve- ning, followed by a number of stunts done by the initiated , took place in Mrs. Huston's room, where all club meetings were held. John Morris, president of the group, pre- sented the stunts, among which were drink- ing out of baby bottles, selling apples, and feeding ice cream cones to each other while blindfolded. At the close the freshies were olhcially accepted. Altiores unos the halls October members did this of their initiation Getting acquainted tags and swimming caps were worn by the green freshie mem- bers of G.A.A. at their initiation in Septem- ber. After school G.A.A. members began hiking to Nancy Breece's farm for the annual Weiner roast. Each member taking her own weiners and buns, the girls hiked the required distance for points and were then picked up by hayracks. It wasn't long until the crack- ling and sizzling of the hot dogs could be heard, after the freshman members found enough roasting sticks. Snapshots were taken of the group during this event, which was the first activity of the club for the year. What do you want on your hot dog? Boy, that was ll long hike! 'x J

Who can With an atmosphere of gaiety and loud fun, the traditional initi- ation of K.l-LS. freshmen by the almighty seniors began quite early on Friday, September 5. Before classes started town freshies were seen carrying and pulling seniors' books in wagons. A number of country freshies, however, were honored with very interesting rides to school. Between periods during the long day, Cfor freshmen, at leastj, cries of The British are com- ing! and To doom with the freshies! grew common to every- one's hearing. At noon many of the green ones did stunts for a short time. Both initiators and the ones initiated will long remember an interesting object of the day, which was called Bud's Bucket . For the annual party that night more stunts were performed. The new teachers dressed in hill- billy styles and sang a mountain ballad. lVI.C. of the program was Bill Moore.
