They were successfully led by President Robert Dixon with the help of Vice-President lirn Whitworth and Secretary- Treasurer Tom Batell. Kay Woolsey and Ronnie Phillips served as student council representa- tives. Their sponsors, Miss Woolsey and Mr. Logsdon, contributed much to the success of this class. Basketball, football, and track were some of the sports in which many of the boys partici- pated. They were backed by their capable cheerleaders, Kay Woolsey, leanne Anell, and Cassie Roback. They won second place in the Homecoming parade with their float entitled, We're Aiming For Victory lunior marshal at the Homecorn ing coronation was Pat Cowman Some of their money making projects in cluded bake sales concessions and a rummage sale They held various parties during the year Music was one of the extra-curricular activi- ties in which the class took an active part. Several were in the intermediate band and the junior high chorus. One of the eighth grade members, Becky Condreay, was fortunate enough to play in the band for Armando Cfhitallas concert, which was one of the most important events to take place this year. All of the class had various projects for the lunior Auxiliary of Sciences which was held in Monmouth, Illinois, in February. This was the first time the eighth grade had participated in this project. At the lester Staff Carnival in the spring, the class sponsored a silent auction and, of course, the sale of doughnuts. Concluding the school year each eighth grader graduated from junior high into senior high schoal on Class Day They Wore the traditional green caps and were presented the colors of the senior class by Gary Tasker such as a skating party and a pie party row T Batell R Dixon D Clark D Carleton L Carr E England N Atwater P Cowman D Atwater Third row D Ashbaugh W Bloomfield J Bowen L Brodme G Burge E Brown L Corbin E Carlson T Clary S Boen M Cherrmgton First row: J.
