V The stout-hearted, blue-clad warriors met their third deteat at the hands ot the South Carolina State Hornets. The game was a nip and tuck tor the tirst halt with 'neither team holding the edge. The Hornets scored in the second quarter when a pass trom Moore to Ford was completed. A kick by K. C. took the ball well past mid-tield, but the bewil- dering passing attacks ot the Hornets battled the Bulldogs. K. C.'s lone tally came on a series ot passes which took the ball to the 8 yard line. Henderson went over tor the Bulldogs. The game was electrified by the completion ot a 50 yard pass trom Henderson to Carpenter. This game was the tirst win between the two teams. all other games being ties. Ross. Henderson, Scruggs, and Carpenter were outstanding tor K. C. 0 5715110

In a fhrilling, specfacular and hard foughf game on fhe furf of fhe Golden Tigers fhe Bulldogs came ouf on fhe shorf end of a 30-7 decision. Though fhe score indicafed a 23 poinf margin in fhe favor of fhe Tigers, fhe Bulldogs complefely dom- inafed fhe game. The game was highly characferized by swiff decepfive plays. passes and consisfenf long kicking. The Tigers were favored wifh a sfrong wall and a sef of fleeffoofed backs who ran like deer. The Bulldogs were sparked by Co-capfain Searl l-lenderson whose 9l yard punf refurn sfarfed one of fhe mosf beaufiful offensive affacks ever performed on any gridiron. l-leavy line plunges by Suffon, Greenlee and l-lenderson seemed fo no avail even fhough fhere were considerable gains.
