They sighted this billboard along the way: Smoke Trubee's cigars, there's nothing tinah, Aged and ripened in South Carolina. On a Florida beach was Deruha, Vivian Doing logarithms in sweet oblivion, While Lynn whizzed around in her convertible Lincoln Ignoring the traffic lights, although they were blinkin', Till Sue Alling, Miami's chief of police, Gave her a ticket and told her to cease. Then they squinted across the deep dark blue ocean, Because they had an uncanny notion That somewhere in Europe they'd surely lind The rest of the class whom they had in mind. In all of Vienna, no one sang sweeter, Than the great prima donna, Miss Bebe Streeter. At the tables of Monte Carlo, looking so bored, Sat Madelon Pennicke and Mary Ford, While in Lisbon Nina had achieved wide fame, As an artist's model of great acclaim. Her portraits in the Louvre at Paris now hung, And all over Europe her praises were sung. Glancing at Everest, that snow covered peak, They saw climbing upward, looking ever so chic, Margretta and Tony, who got a great thrill Out of scaling high mountains and proving their skill. Countess Snail Lahey, her name changed to Olga, Had made big black headlines swimming the Volga. Gene turned to Corey with a satisfied smile, Saying, I guess that will do for a while, We've looked high and low and had lots of fun Finding out what our old friends have done. Some are in business, some on the stage, And we're all faring well in this post-atomic age And to our generation many thanks are due, From shattered fragments we've built a World fair and new The flags of The United Nations unfurled In triumph and splendor all over the world. With no thought of war or needless strife, We all live a profitable and happy life. Then Corey agreed, said she thought so too, That the world was much improved was certainly true. Gene, dear, we must go back to earth very soon, But don't you think it's nicer way up here on the moon? 113

SE IUH EL SS PHUPHEEY CCo1zf2f11fe1ffrom page IIID Betty Jane Cronk, first lady of society, Was a paragon of grace and worldly propriety. Jean Poeter, cosmetician, was everywhere seen Wearing her lipstick, a bright emerald green, And Joanne Sibley, the critic, as worldly as ever, Wrote advice to the lovelorn both helpful and clever. While dashing to photographers all over town Was Power's famed model, gorgeous Ginny Brown. Dotteye Rooke was skating at Madison Square, Exclaimed Corey, Her feet are as light as the air! And then with a cry of Northward Ho! Their vision came to rest on Lake Otsego. Gracing the halls of our old alma mater, Were T. Tulley, Jr., and Chick Carver's daughter, And from the assembly hall came sounds of sweet crooning From a Glee Club directed by Dorothy Bruning, Joyce Ketchum had remodeled the old Pratt Hotel, Which the Knox girls all thought was perfectly swell! Caroline Gorence for so went the taleD Made great use of her invention, the invisible veil. While instructing in baseball a la Doubleday, Whom should they spy but little Carmen DeMay! And perched on the knee of the statue of Cooper Judy Johnston wrote novels that really are super. While looking at lakes, to Placid they gazed, And Corey and Landis were greatly amazed To see Bobby Wallace out on the steep slopes, Giving ski lessons to playboys with high hopes! Up for the weekend was Mary Lou Barry, With the suave Danish Archduke she hoped soon to marry From Marylou Baker, she had gotten a letter, Saying her quintuplets were very much better. In Old New England, at Haverhill, Mass. Kay Poore was conducting a Phys. Ed. class. Now looking southward this very same day 112
