They elected class dflcers as follows Pres ldent Avis lackusg Vfce Preafdnt Geraldine Pike: Secretary logene Ceughlln Treasurer Thelma Smlth. We chose Miss Russ as class advisor Our activities con slated of a turkey raffle fn Novesnher and a dance fn the Russell Town Hall November ll 1945 In 1946, we returned stfll whole heartedly eager to continue our education. Our selection of officers was Presfdent Thelma Smlthg Vice President Lochlend Jeffries Secretary Rogene Coughlfng Treasurer Richard llewlettg with Mr Colllsou as our class advfsor lhrly in September we had a roller skating party and ln February a dance ln the basketball hall. We were happy that our treasury would allow us to con- tribute to the March of Dimes' and the 'led Cross' As the Junfor class of 1941, we re entered school with setfsfactfon as we neared our goal In organfslng we chose Lochland Jeffries Presldentg Roger Kelly, Vice President Avis Backus Secretary, Rogene Ceughlln, Treasurer We chose Mfss Dan heiser our class advisor We added fffty dollars to our treasury by having a turkey raffle ln November A roller skating party was held October 'Ith. Oar most important transaction was the purchase of our class rings Last September ln 1948 sfxteen members proudly began their senior yehr ln good old K. M. H. S Our flrst step was the electfon of officers as follows President Roger Kellyg Vlce President Thelma Smith Secretary Lols Bullock, Treasurer Marlene Morrow Mr Vansant was chosen our class advisor Our class treasury was enriched by a presentation of Grand Old Opery by a touring road cmnpeny 'l'hls venture netted us S51 00 Our class took the responsibility of the Hallowe en party held in the town hall durfng which our class representatives had to draw for first prize fn the 'Costume Contest ' On November 16 the Crary Mflls Grange members presented a play entltled 'Aaron Slick from Punkln Crlck dfvldfng the protlts with us At Thanksgiving time we had a turkey raffle Selling Christmas cards stationery sub scrfptlons to maganlnes date and address books shares on a phonograph and every day cards were further husfness ventures We next had a senior luncheon. ln March we held a card party ln the halls of K hd. H. S wlth sixteen tables netting S30 00 At this tfme we gave a ball point pen at Chfnese auction. Merch 30 we sponsored a pancake supper fn the Eastern Star Hall and planned for another card party early ln April We shell present our play Springtime for Susie ln May Wlth the proceeds of our treasury we plan a trip to New York with one day ln Washington, during Easter vacation. We consider this a great reward for our efforts and hard study during our hlgh school career We hope classes following ln our foot steps are as successful and satisfied as we are ALMA MATER We will sing a song of praise to you, dear old K1-B And three cheers we 11 have to bring to you dear old K1-B For you stand for all that s great to us Urge us on and try to make us worthy of Purple and Gold.
