The meaning of these words is perhaps different for each of you. The School Board, your teachers, and your parents hope you have grown in wisdom, iudgment, and ambition during the past year. To our seniors, we wish the best of what life can give. To our underclassrnen, we look forward to working with you that your dreams may be a reality in the years to come. Junior High Principal Although the chief purpose of education is growth in knowledge, it is also important in the formation of habits. One of the good habits is being on the iob every day and seeing the job through. Modern industry is quite concerned with employees having good attendance. lt has been proved that there is a direct correlation between school attendance and attendance on the iob after high school. Also the schools have proof that poor attendance and poor grades run together. My thought to you would be that you be in school every day. lt will help your grades now, will help you acquire a job after high school, and still later will help you keep that iob. eewfafwe.. 4

The pathways through high school are mem- orable ones. We hope that through our yearbook we have protrayed a span of these pathways to the future upon which each of us travels. Education is in itself a wide and heavily traveled pathway. There are many forks in this pathway-each leading to a goal set by those who are traveling upon it. Just as some roads are unpaved, so are some pathways to success unpaved. There are many rough and threatening sections However, if the goal is kept in view, all difficulties can be surmounted, and the pathways will have served their purpose of furnishing a means of guidance. With all these things in mind, we present to you the 1965 SANDBUR.

Services to School System SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS: James Polen, President, Art Yurilas, Treasurer, Ralph Haribson, Superintend- ent, Leroy Gudeman, member, Harold Weinberg, Secretary. Jerry Marshall, secretary to the school board, Donna Riehle secretary to Mr. Harbison, Dorothy Milner, secretary to Mr. Hamblin, Bonnie Taylor, secretary to Mr. Laramore. 5 The Knox School board is composed of a group of men who are constantly striving to better the Knox School Sys- tem. This year the board was increased to five members with the addition of Mr. Yur- gilas, Trustee of Washington Township, which became a part of the school system. Some of the new additions provided by the school board to the school system were two bus garages, housing six- teen buses, new light fixtures in the high school, and new desks in the junior high study hall. We are grateful to the School Boord for the fine work they accomplished.
