Knox High School Opens the Pathway l lN THE GUIDANCE room Mr. James counsels students in preparing for their future. A school offers many pathways for a student to follow, but the greatest of these by far is the pathway to knowledge. Taking part in activities, meeting and making friends, enioying games, parties, and dances are all important but the crite- rion of every student should be the acquiring of knowledge and the developing of the men- tal power. Knox High School of- fer.s a varied curriculum to meet these needs-liberal art sub- jects such as English, foreign languages, mathematics and the social studies to develop the mind, cultural subiects such as art and music to encourage appreciation, and practical subjects such as stenography, bookkeeping, agriculture, home ec, and shop to prepare the student for everyday living. The school opens the gates to these pathways, it is up to the students to follow them to success. SENIOR ENGLISH STUDENTS gain an appreciation of English literature through reading. io l l l
