The Redskins opened their 1957 foot- ball season Friday, September 6, by journeying to Morocco. The Redskins were downed by the Beavers 12 to 6. The Redskins played the Monticello 13 The Redskins fought the Indians down to the wire but could not find the winning combination. The Tioga Indians on Friday, September o 13-7. The ington-Clay Friday, September 27, only to be downed by the Colonials MANAGERS R. Cassidy, K. Bridegroom and L. Salyers Indians took the game by a score Knox again went South to play the Rensselaer Bombers on Friday, Sep- tember 20. The Bombers outplayed the Redskins in every department as was proved by the score, Knox-0, Rensselaer-39. Redskins Journeyed to Wash by a score of 19 to 6. The Redskins played the Plymouth Rockies on October 4. The Rockies were a tough team this year with only one defeat. Knox played hard only to have the Rockies score a third period T.D. to make the score 13 to 7 and keep that score throughout the final period. On October 11 the Redskins journey- ed to Delphi for their sixth game of the season. The Oracles tallied in every period to trounce the injury- laden Redskins, 42-13. On October 18 the Redskins were slated to meet their inter-county arch rival, the North Judson Blue Jays. The Redskins, carrying an 0-6 record into the game trounced the Jays 34-0. On a wet and muddy field the Nappanee Bulldogs played the Red- skins on October 23, The Bulldogs, with a 7-1 record beat the Redskins 13-7. The final game of the '57 season was played October 29 at New Carlisle. The Lions, with a 9-0 record were too much for the Redskins, who lost -7. 22 19
