The class of 1949 entered Knox College a few weeks after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. lts members saw the curriculum return to the conventional, as professors of English and philosophy returned to Qld Main from their war-time posts in Science l-lall. Veterans' shacks sprang up south of Willard Field, as enrollment leaped to what is known as new heights : veterans' wives and children parts of the college.
