The social studies department is designed to meet this need by the use of up-to-date maps and books and well informed teachers. IUNIOR OFFICERS: Bob Garner, president, Marsha Harvey, treasurer, Carole Kelly, secretary, Barbara Nelson, vice-president. In either the spring or fall, each class elects four members to supervise its duties and its annual pro- iects. Each class has its own special money making activity-freshmen, selling candy, sophomores, smor- gasbord, iuniors, magazine sales, concessions at ball games, sponsoring dances, and planning for the night of all nights, the Junior-Senior Prom. The individual class elects its officers in the way of its own choice such as voting by machine, ballot- ing, or group session voting. These officers have a large responsibility to them- selves and their class. All the heavy pressures are laid upon their shoulders, and the members of the class rely upon them entirely to help formulate their ideas and to keep the class together in all their activities. .ry i an A-. 1'- :ith SOPHOMORE OFFICERS: Jack Ottinger, president, Earla Leonard treasurer, Peggy Pidgeon, secretary, Tom Mills, vice-president 3. . juniors - class of '66 8 h A - 5755 ' i 2 ' 'W . In addition to their classroom duties, teachers participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities as choperones, sponsors, and advisers.
