The loss of junior Peacock at Christmas plus other injuries to Perry, Lindsay, Taylor, and Sylvester caused the Falcons to jel1 late in the season. By tournament time the team was in excellent mental and physical condi- tion and ended the season with five straight victories. They won three more games during the sectional before losing to Middletown in the sectional finals. The highlights of the season were: 1.- Eight straight games won at the end of the season. 2.- The first victory over New Castle in forty years by the score of 73-58 in the sectional. 3. jack St:roup's hitting the field goal in the last two seconds to drop Spiceland 53-51 in the sectional.
