Harny-President A field trip, annual candy sale, a pizza dinner, and an exotic food meeting were some of the highlights of the year’s activities of the Science Club. The field trip took the club to a deep sea aquarium in Newport, and all other activities took place in the school. At a regular meeting, such dubious delicacies as octopus, eel, and reindeer meat were eaten by members. Several local industries provided exhibits at the March Science Fair. A tea, honoring gold award winners, closed the year.

One of the club's projects is to obtain actual teaching experience by being teacher aids in the grade school. Teresa Aho, Kristina Niemelin, and Marcia Johnsen, club members, attended a FTA convention at Oregon College of Education on February 4. 43

GAA SLAVE DAY Knappa’s GAA this year coasted one of the largest memberships in its history. The group took several bowling trips to Astoria.
