Knapp High School Currituck, N.C. Editor--Ginger Brumsey Business Manager—Aubrey Banks 2 1960-1961 We are watching the growth of our school--The consolidation of Moyock and Griggs High Schools into J.P. Knapp High School; new classrooms, laboratories, shops, and gymnasium acquiring the latest equipment; expansion of organizations, new subjects, and activities to meet the needs of an enlarged enrollment. With this growth, those of us here at J.P. Knapp can do greater work and aspire to higher goals--making a name for ourselves of which the school could well be proud. We are growing. . .growing with the purpose of building sound minds and bodies. For this we are reaching and we will achieve it through a better education. Therefore we have chosen the theme Building for THE SWORD AND SHIELD. 3 ' §0ma$ ■ - 7 We have undertaken a great task and the deeds of our labor will mark us well. The students of future years will follow the imprints of our efforts and relish the enhancement of their value. The founda¬ tion upon which we build will serve to encourage, enlighten, and motivate a profound degree of success upon all its inhabitants. May this foundation be strenghtened with sound knowledge, character, justice, confidence and mor¬ al guidance. The timeless, endless record we construct will reflect to our posterity the progress we accomplish. May this record be one of which we can all be proud and one that will truly represent the spirit of Joseph P. Knapp High School. W. F.
