J j rincipaf’s Jltessacje Again, we rededicate our efforts to challenge the minds of the youth of J. P. Knapp High School and to strengthen the bonds of friendship, loyalty and common purpose. This is our goal and we must never compromise with ignorance or substitute a false objective .... lest we fail in our primary purpose and sink to the depths of incompetency. This school gave birth to higher standards and better quality of work and devotion to duty. To lower our standards is unthinkable. We shall con¬ tinue to strive for a sound educational status and in fact - demand it! We now have tradition, young in age, but second to none, a tradition of high purpose and one that reflects the intelligence, character and moral as¬ pects of a deserving youth. It is to the youth of Joseph P. Knapp that we con¬ tinue our endless drive for education. It is our school and we must never cease to make it a showplace of intellectual aspiration. W. F. Landing
