Then the last lap of our journey was reached, and we became the pri- vileged Seniors of Klondike High School, Since there were so many activities, we had two sponsors. Mr. Robert Mertz helped us with the yearbook, and Mrs. Ray was sponsor of other activities. Albert I-lainje was chosen president, and Donald Taylor, Vice-Presidentg Other class officers were Joan Misner, Secre- tary-Treasurer: Shirley Redding,l-listox-iangBi1l Crider, Student Councilg Jean Sheets, Reporterg and Albert Maxwell, Athletic Association. We enjoyed the responsibilities and fun of publishing the Nugget and working on the 1949 Pros- pector. Our Senior Play, Who's Batty Now? , was presented two nights, April 8 and 9. Baccalaureate service was held at the West Lafayette Methodist Church, May 1. We officially graduated May 5, 1949, when our commencement was held at Eliza Fowler Hall.
