Hannele came from a suburb of Helsinki, Finland, a city of 500, OOO people. Her father, Kaj -Heikki Johansson, represents a Finnish lumber company traveling and selling lumber to foreign countries. Her mother, Eila, is a housewife and she has an ll year old sister named Helena. This year Hannele's subjects have included, English IV, gov't. -soc. , office practice, Spanish, and Am. history. Her activities have included science club, Spanish Club, FBLA, FTA, student council, 1. V. basketball, and track. While here, Hannele has discovered a taste for pizza and American hamburgers. 7
