Whenever I was discouraged or confused, they set me back in the right direc- tion. I would like to give extra recognition to Elise Cleveland, the assistant editor, for making her job more than just an honorable title. She took on a lot of responsibility, had many fresh ideas, and acted as a sort of public relations figure. The yearbook staff deserves my heartfelt thanks for all of their hard work, imaginative ideas, and understanding. V This was my third year on the yearbook staff and I think it taught me a great deal about relating with other people. Yearbook was definitebr a learning experience, but along with more knowledge came much jun, friendships, and the thrill of seeing our work published. I hope you don't look at this annual as simpLv a memory book, but rather as an artistic expression of how we saw this year. Eight experienced members taught the rest of the staff how to pull a yearbook together. Our new sponsor, Mrs. Leister, came to us this year with a joumalism back- ground and newspaper knowledge, but she had never worked with a yearbook staff before. She had an open and creative mind and allowed us to let our imaginations flow. Her advice and hard work were an indispensible aid to the production of this yearbook. Several layout and type styles were used throughout the book to convey an image ,of dUference. The unique division pages were designed by Elise Cleveland This yearbook was planned to show how the individuality of the students at our school made them stand out. I , Without our photographers, this yearbook would not have come to be in existence. Staff photographers Kathy Broussard, Susan Cary, Lamont Cline, Chris Lancaster, and Melanie Miller contributed much of their time to help us with our endeavorsf They put up with the staffis continual pounding on the dark- room door and that familiar cry of '7 need pictures! They even managed to forgive me when I turned on the light and inadverten tba ,exposed their film.
