These were just a few ofthe duties she was involved in after being elected this year's mascot, I felt that I could represent the school, and get more involvedf' she revealed wlzen asked why she wanted to be mascot, The most memorable part of being mascot, she felt, was at the football games when she initiated the Bearkadettes. Pyramids were the specialty of the 1978-79 Varsity Cheerleaders. Despite one injured girl, the cheerleaders proved lfIC'lI'lA'C'lVCS outstanding at the sunzlner camp they attended in San Ma1'e0s, They won the grand spirit stick, were rated superior fbr their ponz-pony routine, and received the award of excellence.
