3 78 Organizations Contests Sharpen Their Skills The regional contest was attended by members of the Industrial Arts club at Sam Houston University in Hunts- ville. Students presented examples of machine drafting and architecture drawings that they had prepared in class. On- sight drafting contests were also entered. The Industrial Arts club's main purpose was contest preparation. It is affiliated with the Texas lndustrial Arts Association and the American Industrial Arts Association. Xi ,webring Klein Service Gives Cars More Years It your car hesitates or has a transmission that vvon't transmit, the auto mechanic students will fix it for you. They're learning the ins and outs or auto repair by working on teachers' and students' cars. Members have attended the district contest where they have performed various speed skills using hand and power tools. They also submitted several projects for judging. This year's officers are: Brian lVlacKenny, president: David Nourse, vice- president: Ray Haude, parllamentarian: Barry Boyette, reporter: Charles Kading, sergeant-at arms: Jeff Povvell, treasurer: Jimbo Blackstone, secretary. lVlr. Members attended the Area lll skill contest in lVlarch. They entered architectural plans and machine drawings. The members were voting delegates at state level and the officers attended a leadership training program.
