50 Organizations Tournaments, Talent Show Occupied Speechies A trek dovvn the scenic River Walk, a tour ofthe historic Alamo, and visits to the inspiring cathedrals relieved the tension for Klein Speech participants in the San Antonio tournament. In January, Klein rolled out the Blue and Gold carpet for 28 schools attending the Texas Forensic Qualifying tournament. A fun time for all KHS vvas the Blue and Gold Talent Shovv in lVlay, sponsored by mem- bers to raise funds for club activities. Thespions Don'1 Play Around Members of Thespians and Drama have given another year of outstanding play and mime productions. Members combined their talents, and performed the plays, The Crucible by Arthur lVliller, the ambitious and magnificent Oklahoma by Rogers and Hammerstein, and one of their best performances, Scapino, by Dunlap and Dale. The play Scapino presented a nevv approach tovvard acting, using new scenery and prop ideas. A mime skit, plus the Hobbit, a children's play, added additional entertain- ment for everyone's enjoyment. Sponsor is lVlr. Ron Atkins.
