Staff Prints School Scoop Gather information. Gather more information. Write, rewrite, type, retype. Being a member of the Bearchat staff was not all fun, but the time and work were worth- while when a staffer saw someone reading the paper and smiling. It hurt to see the paper, their baby, thrown on the floor. The staff shared many memorable moments. Rare instances were when the copy fell into place, the pictures were not blurred, the headlines fit, and the story infor- mation came in on time for the deadline. Somehow, some way, the pressess rolled and the Bearchat was published. The staff was under the direction of Mrs. Mary Devine. ai' -A. Top: When dedicated staff members work, they really work! Ester Reynolds and Greg Barnes. Middle Left: Hot off the press! Celia Farias, Mitch Cantrell, Maggie DeSola, Sandy Vann, and Alice Fisher. Middle Right: Doyce Jones types as Cindy Ward thinks of ideas. Left: Papergirl, Judy Cartwright, distributes the Bearchat. Above: A photog- rapher's fatigue. Chris Lancaster. Organizations 41
