At Klein there are devoted advocates ofthe game as they hit the courts every day after school under the supervision of their coach. The vvet weather cut dovvn on the usual amount of winter play but the team more than made up for it by spring play and competition. fs ss' 1 in They Don't Putt Around The Woodland Open and Dinah Shore Classic were two tournaments the golf team members hope to participate in someday. Practicing on a number of different courses helped these students prepare for future advancement in golf and a lifetime enjoyment of the game. They entered as many tournaments as possible. As they practiced, the coaches' instructions seemed to run through their minds every time they stepped up to tee off. Mrs. Joy Riley coached the girls, and Mr. Chet Cook coached the boys.
