Their Stride Wos Frozen Too Both the Freshman and Varsity Girls Track teams trudged through the same anguish the boys team did during the cold vveather. Even though their first track meet vvasn't until lVlarch 4, these determined girls also had to withstand the wind and slush which began in January. The team attended eight meets this year and hosted an annual girls' meet in lVlarch. Despite the hardships, the girls track teams raced for the finish line in full stride and honor. These girls ran well together and advised each other on running techniques. They attended meets at the University of Houston Invitational and at Spring Creek Park in a dual meet against Spring which Klein won. They enjoyed each other's company and run- ning cross country.
