Painting signs, and going to all the games kept the cheerleaders busy. The Freshman Cheer- leaders are: Missy Hatfield, Angie LeBeouf, Michelle Morgan, and Heather Paulson. Could We Yell Without Them During fifth period their yells could be heard loud and clear as they practiced every day. They were at all the JV games Building pyramids and making signs is what it was all about. Their hard practices paid off. They also helped the Varsity Cheer- leaders with the Friday afternoon pep rallies. Varsity Ends Season With Spring Victory The team began the season by winning three in a rovv against lVlacArthur, Galena Park, and Aldine. The tables turned when they played Westchester with a close score of 28 to 31. The Bearkats hit St. Thomas 19 to 7. Com- petition became rough with losses to Conroe, Cy-Fair, and Bryan. The team came back strong by beating Jersey Village 14 to 7. Our friendly rival Spring was beaten by the Bearkats 41 to O. Top right: Bearkat breakthrough.
