Science This elective course for seniors helps the student realize that understanding of a problem is the first step toward solving the problem. Other elective courses in this depart- ment include world geography and world culture. A basic study of the cli- mate, customs, and people of the world is studied in world geography. World culture provides a study of the world from prehistoric man to the atomic age. TOM CRABTREE GILBERT BOYD PAUL DELLER Mr. O'Toole explains a diffi- cult document in American History to Donna Cummins. 7 50 za Appreciation of a rich heritage in American democracy for the student is the major purpose of the social science department. Through required courses in American history and American prob- lems, students learn ot the origin and responsibilities ot democracy. This early training prepares students to become world citizens. A course in psychology is also in- cluded in the social science department.
