VflLfDICTORIfln Jim Case, with a grade average of 1.06. became valedictorian of the C lass of 45. Jim has attended Kl US for four years, and is a mathematics and science major. “All work and no play” is not the case with Jim. for he is president of the Tri-Sci science club, vice-president of the Honor Society, a member of the Krater stall, Hi-Y, and Quill and Scroll. Jim is also a member of the Traditions and the Finance Committees, vice-president of the Boy’s Alliance, a member of the school band, and was at one time the drummer in the high school dance band. SflLUTflTORifln Marjorie lluskinson. a transfer from Kcno high school two years ago, was chosen salutatorian with a grade average only .02 below that of Jim’s. Marjorie is more the studious type, and her only club is Latin club. She likes music very much and is an active member of the music department; she plays the saxaphone in the band. Marjorie is taking a general course, and she doesn’t seem to have any definite plans for her future. She has taken a little bit of everything in high school, so she will probably be able to move into almost any field.

PRinciPfR’s mfssflGf 'fhe school year 1944-45 has been dominated by the grim realities of war. Many girls are training for or are taking positions critical to the war-effort. Most of the boys of the class of 1945 will exchange their caps and gowns for the uniforms of the Armed Forces of the United States. Several have already taken early leave or have expedited their graduation to enter the service of their country. To these we shall be indebted the remainder of our lives. May Providence grant their safe return! STANLEY D. WOODRUFF Principal
