C5110 SE IORS Hats off to an up-and-coming class that had everything it takes to sail through four years of high school with flying colors. Every phase of school activity has had its full share of the supposedly more dignified element. Athletes, dra- matists, journalists, musicians, political leaders, and experts in almost every field claim membership in the class of '4O. Their motto, together we stickg divided we're stuckf, has proved itself to them, for together they have succeeded in mak- ing a record that will he truly hard to beat. Colors: Pink and Blue. Flower: American Beauty Rose. VALEDICTORIANS lt is a very rare occasion when two stu- dents have the same grade average after four years of high school. Such was the case this year, however, when Pat Ellis and Charles Foster ended their high school careers with a straight Hone average, fthe first time a straight one average has occurredj: as a result we have two valedictorians and no saluta- torian. Patricia and Charles were prom- inent in the activities of school as well as heing high in their grades. Both were prominent in journalism and also held im- portant positions in several organiza- tions.
