LHC SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS fy6nice, Groesbeck: adviser, Miss Eberhard. SENIOR CLHSS The students of this year's senior class have been among the most active in school. This group proved, upon entering as freshmen, their athletic supremacy. by winning the interclass basketball championship. Furthermore, many of the most prominent members of the XVildcat football and basketball teams were freshmen. The class of '35 was also well represented in scholastic honors. The class started its sophomore year by being well represented on the Pelican football team and on the VX'ildcat team. Officers were Harold Kleiner, president: Johnny Pas- tega, vice-president: Hob Howard, secretary-treasurer. During the junior year there were six members from the class on the football team, and four of the stars who won the Southern Oregon and district basket- ball championships were juniors. Officers were, Lane XYarren, presi- dent: Bob Leslie. vice-president: and June Johnson, secretary. Finally, as seniors, this class has been exceptionally outstanding in clubs of the school: traffic squad, interscholastic debate, lil Rodeo and lirater staff, as well as in dramatics. Senior officers were: Hob Leslie, president: Carl Dudley, vice-president: Stewart Groesbeck. secretary-treasurer. The senior class motto is: Together we stick-divided we're stuckng colors: Purple and Gold: flower: Yiolet. This prominent class will be missed greatly in the high school. YlXl.TiDlC'I'O R l.-XX Bob Lind, valedictorian for the class of l935. was the hrst boy to attain this honor in the ten years since Klr. Paul T. Jackson began his direction of this institution. Bob also had one of the highest averages made by a valedictorian for several years with 95.89 per cent for his four years' work at Klamath Union High School. SA I .L l'.-X'l'OR IAN Margaret Goldsmith, who ranks second highest in the class scholas- tically. achieved an average only slightly lower-95.70 per cent. The scholastic race be- tween the valedic- torian and salutator- ian has been the closest held for a number of years. Both of the students started school here in 1931 and have been equally promi- nent in various school activities. Robert Lind Margaret Goldsmith
