Rolando R. Yco Senior Chief Gas Turhine System Technician Rolando R1 Yco was horn in Olongapo City, Philippines in 1955. After graduating high school at Columhan College in 1972, he at- tended college at the University of the East, in Manila from 1973 to 1976. On Iuly 11, 1977 he joined the Navy at Suhic Bay Naval Sta- tion, Olongapo City. After completing recruit hasic training at RTC San Diego, California, Senior Chief A Yeo attended Aviation Machinist Mate NK' . school at Naval Training Center Millington, Tennessee, then reported to Fighter Squadron ONE TWO FOUR WF 1240, the west coast F-14 training squadron, stationed at aval Air Station Miramar, California. His first fleet assignment was Fighter Squadron TWO POUR NF-241, also hased at NAS Miramar and emharlzed onhoard the USS CONSTEL- LATION QCV-641. While assigned to VF-241 he made two Western Paciticfindian Ocean ' deployments. Following this tour he reported to Service School Command, Great Lalzes, illinois and attended Gas Turhine System Technician N, and C School. In 1986, he was assigned to the USS RENTZ QFFG-463 where-.he qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Engineering Officer of the Watch QEOOWJ. It was onhoard RENTZ, in 1987 that he was selected for Chief Petty Officers In 1992 he was as- signed to Assault Craft Unit FIVE QACU-53 at Marine Corps' Station, Camp Pendleton, California where he served as the R Division Otlzicer. U In January 1994, Senior Chief Yco reported to the USS HEWITT CDD-9663 and earned his second EOOW qualification. In 1997, he received orders to they staff ot Com! mander, Carrier Group FIVE where he served as Assistant Surface Engineering Readiness ' Officer. In June 1999, he assumed his current position as Command Senior Chief. In Au- gust 1999, he earned his Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist designation. A His awards include the Navy Achievement Medal fwfZ Gold Starsi, Good Conduct Medal fwfj Bronze Stars, and various unit and campaign awards. A 1 GSC SfSWfAWf Yco is married to the former Corazon' T.
