74 The Kittrell College Choir Kittrell College takes pride in its Choir, directed by Mrs. L. E. Cabiness. The students who quality for membership are af- forded many opportunities which include vocal trairiing and traveling and performing throughout the states. The Meditations The Meditations, the College Rock’N Roll Group, provide entertainment for the student body and surrounding areas. The group consists of: William Holmes, Base Guitar; William Johnson, Tenor; Phillip Allen, Base; Sylvester Dark, Lead Guitar; Paul Graham, Baritone; James Mack, Second Tenor; and John R. Jones, Tenor.

The Club Advisors are Mrs. I. B. McCauley and Miss M. Gregory. Through their participation in the Modern Dance Club, these young ladies develop poise and grace and fur- ther their appreciation for music and dancing. The Newspaper Staff The Newspaper Staff, the information center of Kittrell, brings together students possessing outstanding jour- nalistic talents. It provides a means for students to learn the intricate techniques of journalism and to inform the school of the outstanding events of the school. Bearing editorials and features written by some of the more cre- ative minds around the campus, the Newspaper Staff makes an effort to stay abreast of the important news at Kittrell.
