This system consists of the techniques of blocking or thwarting an attack and counter-acting the opponent by punching, striking, or kicking. The club members must adhere to strict discipline; they must not discontinue the study without sufficient reason; and they must vow to uphold the honor of the club, and comply with all its regu- lations. 70
