Stottlemyer S PERI 'TE 'DE 'T'S MESSAGE At no time in the history of our country have public institutions been the subject of more controversy by the public than they are today. The question appears to be Are the institutions that serve our country effectively doing the jobs they were organized to do? This same concern on a local level would be whether or not the school is doing a good job of educating the young people of this community. Only time will give an answer to this ques- tion, but I trust as you review your public school education and what it has done for you that you will find yourself in a strong position as a result of the education received here. It has been the school's objective to provide you with a quality education and to help you acquire to the fullest extent ossible the mastery of basic skills. Your education has been directed toward the understanding of the opportunities open to you by preparing for a productive life. It has been our desire to help you develop the greatest possible understanding of yourself and an appreciation of your worthiness as a member ofa community. NVQ sincerely hope the future will show that together-student and school-we have done our job well. Richard Stottlemyer, Ed. C. We, as a faculty, have attempt- ed to provide ou with the educational foundations to pur- sue your goals in life. You are all endowed with some degree of intelligence. Your goals and your future are de endent on how ou use this intelligence, for in- telligence is the art ofy choosing well between several os- sibilities. You, class of 1971, are at a great point in life when you are challenged to prove your intelligency by choosing the right goals for your future. The wrong choice can mean frustration, bitterness, defeat. The right choice will mean fulfillment, happiness, success. Make your choiceg pursue your goal. The future is yours ......
