Searching deeper in- to these waters, we can see beyond our own image, the future with its joy and pain, satisfaction and disappointment, wealth and poverty, and all the aspects of living that together will mold our lives, Life, however, does not stop here with the intermingling of the past and the pres- ent. It moves onward, and wisdom to meet ' those reflections of our later lives must be gained as we move along in life. We must have courage and continue in pursuit of what life of- fers. We begin to give life to the image of to- morrow using what we are today and what we learned from yesterday. Moving on alone yet drawing strength from one another we will make the future, our final image, one of greatness. Yesterday's re- flections in today's opportunities give us tomorrow's image. Indeed such was the task that confronted we the class of 1968 in choosing the right words to express our gratitude and thanks we extend to you as our helper and ever-Willing-to-listen-to-usl' friend. Words cannot express all our gratitude in this short space, but we trust that as days go by and rnount into years that the seeds ofgratitude we sow here may continue to yield fruits ofap- preciation that may be looked upon by youin the days that lie ahead. That is why we the Class of 1968 dedicate this issue of the Kit-Han-Ne to you, Mr. Theodore Round. The staff endeavors to gain for the student body, its administration, faculty, and staff an accurate picture ofits program. To do this pictures are taken, records are kept, activities are recorded, and personal data are gathered setting forth a permanent record of the entire school year. Staff members devote many hours to collecting materials, plan- ning, writing, typing, editing, and arranging. All their findings are co-ordinated about a theme. This is not an easy task. The theme of the 1968 KIT-HAN-NE is reflections, reflections of those events and goals of the year. The 1968 staff, under the supervision of Delbert Baker,jr. ofthe English Department, has resolved to surpass all previous annual publications. It is the aim of the staff to give you many fond reflec- MRA BAKER tions in the 1968 edition of the KIT-I-IAN-NE. Advisor if n-.-...i.. fkmighhg, L 1 s ,,, f 9: NL? ROW 1: B. Contrucci, K. Your time as a student of the public school system has drawn to a close. Some of you will continue your formal education for a few more short years. As a stu- dent, you have received the benefits of a free society. As you assume your place in the adult world, you will be called upon many times to help make decisions concerning the educational welfare of future genera- tions. We are living in a world of rapid change, We are told that we are educating children to assume jobs that do not yet exist. This makes your task of planning for the future very difficult. The junior High Student Council under the supervision of Mr. john Rohrer provides a form of student government. One student is selected from each homeroom by his classmates to be a representative for that room. It is the representa- tives, privilege and responsibility to attend all meetings and support school activities. Each rep- resentative takes part in making decisions that will influence the entire student body. It func- tions much like the STUCO at senior high. - I library cfm i s I I , I 5 I . 5 ' I I 5 'PR I , -. f 7 . . 2 My ,. . J x 1 N .. MZ i 3 I 5 V 142, I v ROXV lij. King. G. Boyer.
