This year marked the birth of a new club in K . C . I . - the bow- ling club! Small, but mightly, this team boasts a total member- ship of twelve. Hopefully, the bowling club will participate in the inter-collegiate games but otherwise it will simply continue to bowl at Waterloo Bowling Lanes. Under the teacher sponsorship of Miss Dennis, this club will con- tinue to have an enjoyable time despite our lack of numbers. FIRST ROW: Martine Biname, Karen Tuchlinski, Alison Prittie, Ann Marie Sperling, Miss Dennis. SECOND ROW: Bob Heibein, Dave Mask. Angling The individual fisherman, or angler, is not merely engaged in trying to cat- ch fish, as it would be cheaper to buy fish at a store. He is trying to under- stand the fish ' s environment, and its reaction to it. Organized fishing and hunting associations put far more time and money to better use in conservation work than the fanatical Walt Disney conservationists. The fishing club hopes to foster a stream improvement program, dedicated to pollution control, return- ing fish, and using more sporting met- hods, such as artificial flies.

Writers The Writer ' s was very active publishing several magazines during the year. They had a column in Main- line and ran a contest for writing a story about a parti- cular picture. Several authors visited the school. Edna Staebler invited the club to her home on Sunfish Lake. They used their budget to send a gift to the authors they met to show a token of their appreciation. The members brought their writing to some meet- ings for discussion, construct- ive criticism and encourage- ment. Bruce Hougham FIRST ROW: Peg Tittle, Donna Lynn Gervais.
