Red Flynn, Scotty Rafferty who are retiring this year after 25 and 15 years service with KCI respectively. To Our Custodians We have paid all due attention To the members of the school We have made all due mention Of scholar and of fool. The names of all are proffered Regardless of position Yet amongst the names here offered. We have made one grave omission. I speak of the men the whole school knows The men who clean up the disorder we make And patiently fix the things that we break When something goes wrong we cry as one man Go get the janitor as fast as you can! The hard working partner in all that we do We offer this tribute, the janitors, to you. You stoke up the furnace and sweep up the hall But the real job you do, is take care of us all. So up with your glasses, and drink with the rest Long live the janitors in KWCVS. an adaptation of a poem written by Farley Mowat for his high school yearbook.
