Due 'fo fhe monsoon weaflqer fhe boffom lay sysfem was inoperafive. Using fhe sysfem for fueling Milne- 8 boafs, loaded wifh l0,000 gallon bladders, fhaf KISHWAUKEE had prefecfed fhe previous cruise, we were able 'ro fransfer 300,000 gallons of fuel ashore in less fhan 24 hours. This was one lHSfance of meefing an' emergency requiremenf fhrough fhe deferminafion and rngenuify of fhe ship's crew.
